FREESTYLE motocross riders Luke and Matt Cole were some of the daredevils jumping 12 metres high between two ramps at Newcastle's Horseshoe Beach yesterday.
The brothers made a guest appearance with a group of motocross riders being filmed along the east coast for the Red Bull Airslaves Freestyle Motocross Tour.
Riders were catapulted in the air as they sped up a kicker ramp before showing a range of aerial tricks and landing about 25 metres away on a landing ramp.
Their tricks ? supermans, indys, can cans, heart attacks and lazy boys ? were filmed and drew cheers from onlookers.
Athlete manager Luke Hannan said footage from the tour would be compiled into an 11-minute TV show and would be featured in Free-rider MX magazine.
The group filmed jumps at the Coles' track at Morisset on Wednesday and decided on Horseshoe Beach because it showed a slice of Newcastle.
"We try and show a depiction of what it [the town] has to offer," Mr Hannan said.
One rider crashed during yesterday morning's filming session but he was not seriously injured.
