Access Ramps Improvements

EXTRA on and off ramps will be built to access Kiama from the Princes Hwy.

The State Government will provide between $8 million and $10 million for an extra northbound and southbound access ramp from the Roads and Traffic Authority's current budget.

The Gipps St northbound exit and the Spring Creek Dr southbound entry to Kiama were closed last year because of the high number of accidents.

That left only one northbound exit for motorists at Spring Creek Dr and one southbound access point at Gipps St.

Kiama residents and the Kiama Municipal Council have been pushing for extra access and exit points since the Kiama Bypass was built in 1987.
