WORKMEN have now finished erecting new ramps and railings at Woodberry Public School.

"They were installed because one of our kindergarten students, Hamish Korbi, may need wheelchair access when he is older," said an assistant principal at Woodberry PS, Irene Wojko.

The ramps also make it easier for parents with prams and strollers to get around the uneven playground.

They will also help people with disabilities move around the school more easily.

The school is built on a number of levels and is a difficult place to make accessible for wheelchairs or people with disabilities, according to Woodberry principal Pat White.

"Our school is aware of the situation and we are thinking of a solution and will either move the library or put a lift in, depending on the budget," Mrs White said.
